King of the Mountain!

had pulled out and was sad I wasn’t going but in a turn of events I have a ride for this weekend at UMI's King of the Mountain! My favorite event of the year!

Thanks Kevin Keys for your gracious offer!

Back in the heartbeat of America!

My only clean run Day 1 qualifying was marked clean but was easily proven to not be clean on video and a couple people saw the cones fall. Unfortunate to self report cones that affect the event but I hope that the KARMA bank is in the positive. I drove really well especially for a car I had never driven before this event.

I found a couple positions from day 1 on the strength of two runs. C5 broke 1/3 of the way into my 3rd run. The throttle body gave out and all we had was idle to move the car with. I always beat myself up a lot at this event but honestly if I had been clean yesterday and the opportunity to put a good run together today, no doubt in my mind I would have had a good shot at top 18. It’s easy to forget that this crowd is suuuuper stout I look around at all the names that mine is around and it is like “wow I’m in super good company”. No one here is slow, so having the raw times to be in the top 25 and official times in the top half is awesome and I’m really happy with how I drove this weekend! It always hurts slightly less when you cone out a day and still don’t finish last. Thanks again Kevin Keys for the great opportunity! The car is so fun and works well. Super easy to drive! Having a steed that is confidence inspiring always makes the driving part way easier because it allows you to drive proactively!

Another year of watching the shootout, but I think once everything comes together and I actually make the shoot out it’ll make that success feel even sweeter.

It’s always an honor to be invited here. It’s so cool that the crew at UMI Motorsports Park see the potential I have and allow me to compete in the coolest event I’ve ever been a part of! Not only do I get to compete at a top notch event but I get to be friends with some top notch people.

So happy for you John Vitamvas for taking the win in the shootout! Enjoy that giant check!
