UMI Motorsports Park Muscle on the Mountain 2.0

Unfortunately, my plans of making the shoot out for Muscle on the Mountain at UMI Motorsports Park didnt come into fruition this year. I did however drive well. I just couldn’t stay off the cones. These two courses were the best courses I’ve driven at UMI to date. So fun!

I was feeling kinda bummed about my finishing position but then I realized I had been clean I was only tenths out.

I have very little seat time in this car and I think I executed very well despite the lack of seat time.

Big shout out to Chris Brown for making the shoot out!

Also, for taking direction well. It takes a strong person to accept that what they’re doing isn’t working and be willing to make a big change. I threw the kitchen sink at the car since Jersey and not to toot my own horn but I’m pretty impressed with my ability to quickly figure out what a car needs and make a calculated guess to where it should be. We tossed my ice racing springs on the rear of the car Friday morning and the car came alive. It was so good. We were able to drive proactively instead of reactively. Carry speed through corners and get on the power early on exit. Was it perfect? No. Are they ever? Very rarely. However I do believe it’s on the right path.

While I wasn’t in the BMW because well I guess it’s not American Muscle and because it’s currently getting a new heart BimmerWorld still helped get this car on the right path by helping me with these springs. (By the way, Josh I’ll have to order a new set of ice racing springs now )

Motion Control Suspension provided excellent feedback with all the questions I had since NJ, always a great company to worth with.
